Well as my tutor said between UoN and Trent about half the population of Nottingham is students. I'm still happy where I am but it's a little disappointing and could have been useful for my future career. What I didn't realise until I was looking into Masters was that Manchester has some amazing undergrad stats modules. All universities that offer maths have stats modules. Personally I enjoy maths, particularly stats. I'd actually try to consider, if possible, what topics you might be interested in. For the former two it is bit of a luck of the draw but you'd obviously consider the student and athletic unions. That can be joining a society, holding a committee position, group work, course work, etc. If anything you should more consider what opportunities a university offers to develop and display your career skills. It's more how your mind works, your company fit. Beyond that it's on you more than which university you attended. For 99% of employers Nottingham will be more than enough to get your foot in the door for graduate schemes, I would imagine. And that doesn't even mean that would make a difference at all I can only imagine it would make a difference to the most prestigious and competitive employers. Employer's do tier universities but they're both so good I'd be surprised if they were more than a tier apart. Ultimately I'm not sure prestige will make a ton of difference to your career prospects. What's your course? Career goals? What's important to you?
